PTC Championship Showdown & Season IV announcement.

Good day to all the fans, members, and those interested in PTC. PTC is proud of the way the first season went and the championship being decided in round 2 of the PTC Championship Showdown. Then the next season with the first PTC Open and Colby #1. leading the points for a record number of weeks, and Ryan Roberts ending the season breaking a three way tie for the most wins in PTC. This third season is already looking great, a close tight points race, so far there hasn't been a repeat winner, but close at time to it and it won't be long till there is a repeat winner. Season III should be great and season IV will be even better leading to season V.

With all the progress in PTC, changes come and with changes we try to make what is best for members, fans, and possible members, cause with PTC fans one day, can be racing the next day. However, with the growth of PTC, spots for new racers and owner have been limited, and PTC is currently at the max, 48 racers, 3 events a weekend. So PTC this off season will start the registering process early. With the top 16 before the PTC Championship Showdown after race 9 registering and after the Championship Showdown, the rest of the field will have two weeks to regsiter. More details will come as we get closer.

However, beside the early and quicker register process, a new option is coming up. A new monster truck league is forming. This new league is seperate from PTC, but we will work with this new promoter. Once season IV starts for PTC, any rookie that wan't to join PTC after season IV must compete in another league. This is where the new league comes in. This new league will in a way serve as a feeder league, where the Champion of the league will be invited to come to PTC.

So after season IV of PTC, for rookies to enter PTC, they need to compete in this new league. The champion of the new league will be invited and have a spot reserved. Then a limited number of drivers that competed in the new league can enter PTC, then rookies. We encourage would be racers to join this new league, it looks to be great, fewer trucks so much better coverage and more chances to be recognized during events. Once the new league goes public we will mention and provide a link to it. Also PTC is asking for next season, if possible, please send truck drawing in .psd so we can use the images in racing action. If possible if you're unable to its nothing to stress about.

Also a reminder this season there will be no teammates award for the top three in points and this decision is final until it needs to be removed. Also proud to announce season IV schedule already, with the PTC Open taking place in Daytona International Speedway. The fourth season is projecting at a June 21 or 22 start with 11 events, 10 point events. For the PTC Open, unlike this season, 15 points will be awarded to the the winner, to give some sort of an advantage to the winner of the event. PTC Open has become just as big and important as the Championship Showdown, more so because the winner of the event isn't looked over by the crowning of the PTC Series Champion. So we are proud to announce the new logo design for the PTC Open. We are also proud to announce the logo of the next PTC Championship Showdown III this season.

PTC is growing, from the small arena events we did in the first season like Fairbanks Alaska, Alabama's arena, and now we rae at massive stadiums and major race tracks, but we still keep one part the same. A Championship series to test the best in the buisness and crown a racing champion, like TNT Motorsports, and we will never forget that because it is the fans, that becomes memebers, and it's you that make PTC fun. Thank you for reading and any question feel free to email.

Thank you.
Joe Samaniego.

Pro Truck Challenge Season III Is On!

PRO TRUCK CHALLENGE Open is done and Excaliber has won the PTC Open, what a race rookies were in the front, some veterans didn't do so well Matt Grossman, Bloodlust, and Insanity going out in the first round, and Colby #1 looked strong in his group of racing. Of course no points awarded so next week is when the points will be handed out and next week is one night, but three races, at three diffrent venues. Last season Insanity finished dead last in his race, how will Excaliber do and which trucks will improve, last season High Tech Redneck finish dead last in the PTC Open but won the Saturday event #2. So anything can happen the season in young and we will see more trucks rise up.

Pro Truck Challenge Season III News January XX, 2007.

PRO TRUCK CHALLENGE is proud to announce we have 48 trucks in principal register for season III. PTC consider it not officially full but in principal because we have 48 truck intended to race and with the off season some teams will not be 100% ready and anything can happen, so a spot could or may open. PTNews will update when season III is full officially.

Pro Truck Challenge Season III News January 18, 2007.

PTC will NOT delay season III kick off on February 9th. With only 5 spots left open for rookies to register, PTC will fill up in time. Now there are members that have yet to mail their point balances. Some have extended time due to more important priorties. We have 43 trucks register and if you do not see your truck on the members page then email PTC right away. Because at February first, if those trucks are not done mailing their point balance, then they will be removed for more rookies. So currently 5 more spots are open but more might open up. Any questions email PTC and remember best time to join is before the season not during the season.

Pro Truck Challenge Season III News.

Season three for PTC looks to be grand, only 11 spots remain so please go to the register page and get signed up for season III. What makes PTC so great is the memebers that race and without them PTC will not be what it is today and we are nearing our one year of running date. With that in mind PTC has understood that some members are eager and ready to race, some have been busy with great joy and some with great loss. So PTC will decide Friday if PTC Season III will be delay by one week or start on time February 9th. PTC is considering this because we want the members to enjoy each season and know that outside PTC family and friends come first. Thank you for reading and for those that have yet to register or want to register, your more then welcome to. Thank you for reading.

Pro Truck Challenge News Conference.

Season II was a great season for PTC. With more races, more trucks, and the creation of the PTC Open and the All Star Event, PTC is expanding for season III. PTC is proud to Announce that February 9th the PTC Open will kick off our third season of racing. With 11 races total this season and the possibility of 48 trucks racing for the championship this season looks to be even more exciting and coming off a very close season two, the championship may come down to the last event or even the last round of the last event. Look for the schedule to come out Tuesday along with new truck members.

Also PTC is very proud to announce a partnership sponsorship with Monster Truck Collectors. MTC.com will sponsor Pro Truck Challenge and will give a prize package to the season III Champion. Pro Truck Challenge is very happy to have MTC.com join and together hopes of brining more fun to the monster truck community. Pro Truck Challenge will still have race sponsors such as Classic Monster Truck Videos, Monster Mayhem, and a new sponsor coming and PTC always welcome new race sponsors as well.

Championship Showdown II Press Conference.

Hello and welcome to the Press Conference between championship contenders. We welcome Josh Ellis from Ellis Racing, owner of Son of Sam driven by Juan Perez. Shawn Hunsicker owner and driver of Bloodlust and teammate Tyler Anastasio the second place truck in the points, and Colby Marshall, owner of his orange Dodge #4. Welcome and glad you all made it.

Start off with Mr. Ellis, this season has been a big turn around for the team and has started with the deal made between your team and Juan whom closed up his team "Lonestar" early this season, how much of an impact has he been to the team?

Well we've learned a lot from Juan and the two of us together are great for this partnership and hope we continue it on next racing season.

With the possibility of having a teammate will you elect to have a teammate?

No, we are doing great with our one truck.

What would the championship mean to your team?

It will be a great plus for our team, but we know we need everybody else to have bad luck and we're going to race for the win and focus on that, if the Chandler Cup comes are way, it will be a shock.

Thank you, now with Shawn, a slow start but consistent runs and then two wins brought into the pictures, what you make of your season?
It was tough bringing a brand new, untested truck into competition, but i think that once we got it tested right, its working beautifully, and we're very happy with it.

With your old truck second, any "what ifs" come up like had i been in the same truck?

Theres always what ifs, but i try not to worry them. i'm proud that my fiance took it this far, and we're very happy to have 3 trucks in the top 5.

Looking back at the season, what do you take from this past season?

Never enter an untested truck haha. it was hard to do this, but we managed to get this far, and we surely wont turn back now.

What will the championship mean to you and your team?

It would mean alot to team pman, but even more to me and bloodlust. everyone knows i put alot into the ptc, moreso than anyone else. i run the largest team in the ptc, and the two trucks i directly control are in the top 4, i couldnt be happier about it. team pman will be back next season, in greater number, despite all rumors. and if anyone wants a peice of the two greatest trucks in all of the ptc, if you wanna step up, step up, your gonna get knocked down.

Thank you Shawn, now your teammate, Being a rookie, feel the pressure bout the situation your in second in points with only one truck ahead of you for the championship?

Oh yeah, colby is hard to beat, but i'm confident that i can take him out and keep the championship showdown title in the pman family.

How stressful is it, knowing there is only one truck you have to beat, and you may not get a chance to race him?

Its not so stressful. mainly because i dont need to race him, just need the points.

What will you take back from this season?

I've learned alot, i was put in an amazing truck, and i've learned that team pman is a great team to work for. anyone who would leave this team is crazy.

What will the championship mean to you and your team.

it would mean so much to us, to not only keep the championship in the team, but to have it be one of the two lead trucks in the team, and for me to win in my first season would be amazing.

Thank you, now the point leader Colby Marshall, how is your team and especially driver Ed doing knowing what is on the line tomorrow? Ed is doing very well.

He is having a blast like he always does, and being at the top just makes him that much more happy.

20th or better and you have the championship, with the format of the C.S.II. there is a chance you can finish as low as 32nd, and with no time trials does that have you extra concern knowing by points you are on pole.

No, actually, I am thrilled by it.  Even if I finish lower than 20th, the others right behind me still have to do very well to have a shot.  It is a very comfortable situation.

Pman-7 is behind you, that truck finish 2nd last year in the points, knowing is a rookie driver but the same truck, do you see any weakness or strengths with him?

Well, if there were too many weak things about their team, they wouldn't be in second place right now.  They are all strength.  Stong team (a big team, too), strong truck and strong driver.

How will you rate the season?

Like I have said before, we will rate our season in comparison to last year.  Obviously, Jon has been a pleasant surprise in the Deora.  He slipped a bit last week, but it still exceeding all expectations.  Ed is aiming for higher than fourth place.  He set that goal before this season ever started.  All indications point to him achieving that goal.  If that happens, we will rate this season very high.  Doing well in such a strong field of competitions is success to Bite Me Racing.

Looking back, the past two seasons at PTC, how has it improve your team and what will the Chandler Cup mean to you and your team?

The Chandler Cup will obviously be the pinnacle of competition here.  We just hope to remain lucky enough through Championship Showdown to be able to win it all.  Our team has grown from a smaller, more basic truck and a dream to the top level of competition.  We weren't even in monster trucks a year ago.  Now, we have the chance to win a championship.  It is more than we could ever dream of.

Thank you, and wish all of you best of luck tommorrow.

Championship Showdown II Update.

Today some teams started to enter the RCA dome. A large pit area, the largest since PTC Open is now open as some teams come in to set up the truck, meet fans, P.R. stunts, and some just taking the time now to enjoy BBQ and hanging out with the other teams before tommorrow. Tommorrow the six teams with a chance at the championship will be at a press conference, you can catch the press conference her tommorrow on PTnews and teams will be checking out the the track layout. Then super Saturday when 32 trucks will race for the win while six go for the championship and it all happens Saturday from the RCA Dome, CHAMPIONSHIP SHOWDOWN II.

Interview with Owner Colby Marshall, Owner of Colby #19 and point leader Colby #4 driven by Ed.

Good day and tonight is a special interview. With only three races left in the season we have a close battle for the points lead that can go any way, tonight Colby Marshall joins us. He is the owner of Colby #4 and #19 driven by Ed and Jon Kowalski and in total has two career wins for the team.

Welcome Colby, how are you and your team doing?

We are doing well.  I got together with Ed and Jon this past Monday, and we discussed a lot of things.  It is very nice to have both of my drivers in the top ten.

This season got to be happy with Ed's performance, and Jon now in the top eight in points with three events left, how would you rate the team overall 1-10 1 being worst, 10 best?

Personally, I rank us right at the top...a 10.  I still wonder how much respect we are getting from everyone else, as all the interviews I have read do not mention us at all.  I don't feel this is a case of flying under the radar.  Rather, this is a case of having to amazing drivers working for me.

What you think of the second season so far with the two day events, the points, the system that determines what day each truck race, and any other notes on this season?

This format has been great!  I think it creates a lot of intrigue, with wondering if the drivers from one night can hang with the drivers from the other night.  That creates a great amount of interest, and that is always a good thing.

Lets talk bout the rookies, the rookies occupy eight of the top 10 spots in the points, a big question before was how would rookies handle the PTC, you think they are meeting and exceeding the challenge?

Oh, absolutely.  These rookies are amazing.  I am fortunate to have one of the most talented of the bunch racing for me.  Some of them may be "rookies" to PTC, but they aren't rookies to the sport, so I hesitate to throw around the rookie label too much.  They are that good.

Beside your Orange Dodge, High Tech so far is the only truck to win a race both seasons so far, with Bloodlust win and still no wins from Flyin Iowan, Blood Red, and Cold Fusion what you think of the veteran class?

They will always be strong.  I don't think this is an indication of a lack of skill, because the guys you mentioned have as much skill as anyone.  With the field being so large, a lot of luck is playing into the equation now.  I think those trucks will always be strong, and when their luck turns around, they will be right back at the top.

Your thoughts on DTP recent luck, he started great and hasn't perform well in the past few weeks.

They will turn it around, I have no doubt.  They have a great truck, a talented driver and a strong will to win.

Currently you have a 13 point lead on Pman-7, the biggest the point lead has been so far this season. What pressure has being the point leader put on your team?

None, as my two drivers don't feel the pressure.  They just go out and race hard and have fun.  There is no pressure on them to win, which helps them relax and leads to more success.

Next week, if you were to finish dead last and gain one point, the top 16 trucks have a chance being the point leader by the end of the night, does those what ifs rest in the back of the team mind?

Not at all.  As I said before, my guys only concern themselves with racing and having fun doing it.  Besides, Destrucity is there to soak up that last place spot.  Hi Andrew!

This season we have only indoor events left, one being an arena and two domes the metro dome next and the C.S.II at the RCA dome , anything you looking forward to?

The RCA Dome has a ton of history.  One of my fondest (and most upsetting) memories comes from that building (then the Hoosier Dome) in 1987, with Jim Kramer endo'ing Bigfoot 4 in the final race against Texas Toy.  I was six and about flipped my lid that Bigfoot had that incident.  I will never forget it.

10. This question may seem like a jinks. Last season Skatewagon lead five weeks in a row the points, and one week after event #7, but two poor races and in the I an uphill battle and didn't leave with the championship. Do you fear this happening again?

No, not at all.  I have confidence in my drivers.  Our aim is always to better ourselves from the previous season.  With Jon, that is easy, as he didn't have a previous season.  That said, he is just annihilating all possible expectations with his performance so far.  Ed finished fourth last season.  Anything above that will be a "win" for us.

Come Championship Showdown, what do you hope?

Hope?  To win it all.  The Destrucity team is ready to kill me...they are so sick of hearing about us being number one. Can you hear me back there in 32nd place, Mr. Caution?  But, it is just a blast to be able to say that not only are we in first place, but we have one of the top teams overall.

Thank you for the inteview.

NEWS UPDATE November 14, 2007

Pro Truck Challenge is home of the best racers, tonight we interview one of them. Currently the point leader here is Tyler Anastasio driver of Pman-7 for team Pman and welcome.

How did you get the job driving for Pman-7? I have been driving the bloodlust ride truck, and am shawns fiance. this past year he had me in totaler, and since i did such a good job he moved me up to his old truck, pman.

Knowing that this truck last season was the same truck that ran as Bloodlust did you feel more pressure taking over and did you expect that you'll be the points leader so soon? Its pretty overwhelming. everyone knows that the pman trucks are extremely competitive, and its certainly ahead of totalers technoligy. but i feel that i am doing a good job, and am trying to live up to shawns glory.

Last season Bloodlust was consistent, did win any but good run after good run kept him up top. Now we are seeing you do well with consistently getting out of the first round and running well, does the Bloodlust team have issues with the new truck or is it just the competition today? Bloodlust was just recently created, and its first race was the pre season race. as with any truck it was not perfect out of the gate, but mechanic james monahan and crew cheif ryan smith have worked with shawn to get bloodlust back up to speed, and it is jumping up the ranks spots at a time. we expect bloodlust to match or tie the first place truck, whoever it is at the time.

You only have a point lead by 4 points over DTP, a team that in such short time has become a major force with great runs, do you see him being the biggest threat this year? Aside from teamates, dtp is a large threat. phil also manages monstermayhem, a teamate truck. cold fusion, emaxx, both trucks threatning. but dtp has the greatest threat in my mind.

Next week is Phoenix, DTP won last year at Phoenix, any concerns and if I do re-call the truck you're driving went out in the first round against Bigfoot who made it into the finals and now is returning back with MTU Champ Ryan Heyward behind the wheel, are you concern bout that or the points lead and will we see a change in strategy? There is always concern when racing such challengeing courses and fierce competititors. however, i feel that bigfoot was underestimated last season, and was a tough truck to beat. we feel that team pman is running 6 different setups, so one of our trucks should have a good chance.

Now we will have three former MT champions running PTC. We have PTC Champion Cold Fusion, and two MTU Champions with Super Trooper and now Bigfoot entering. What you think they all bring and what you think of Cold Fusion luck lately? Well as mentioned before, with cold fusion being bought out by team pman, he is no worry, we hope ryan does well. super trooper did not impress us last race, but we are still wary. bigfoot we will have to wait. but we are wary of all competitors, old and new here and take know one lightly.

What kinds of races do you like the straight line drags or the courses with turns or even the sled pull event? Turning courses are new to me, as i mainly raced indoor circuits rather than large courses, but with last years second place truck under me, i'm very confident.

What is the general mood of team Pman...mainly you and Bloodlust bout this season? All trucks and drivers want a win. ryan and shawn want to beat eachother, even though they are now teamates. but off the circuit we all get allong great. we are friends first and formost. but when we lock eyes on the cars, you would think we were feuding enemies.

Final Question, High Tech Redneck has won two in a row, Colby #4 has won once, and we got two rookies with wins. Who do you least want to see in the first round one of these trucks or another team? I dont want to see bloodlust most of all. but i also dont wanna see escalade. patrick is a mean competitor.

You can of course see Pman and the rest of Pman and the best in PTC this Friday and Saturday from P.I.R. and we thank you for this interview and good luck.

NEWS UPDATE November 7, 2007

Pro Truck Challenge is proud to announce that a new truck design will be avaliable as of race #7 of this season. Last season the coverage page would had on various race pictures of the events featuring memebers trucks, such as the one below.

This was very popular. However with more complex paintings of trucks as the trucks continue to evolve in to more photo real trucks, making this art has became a bigger challenge.

The three bigfoots above shows the evolution the trucks have done. The first Bigfoot ran in the MTU Budweiser Series, the second ran in the TNT2k series and was the first to bring the modern suspension trucks. The third shows the default PTC design avaliable. The next Bigfoot below shows the future.

PTC introduces the new tube frame truck that will be avaliable. This truck brings not only a more realistic render of trucks, but will allow for more customization by owners, and bring back pictures in the race coverage.

This is the basic tube frame that will be used in any monster truck. The truck file will be a .psd for photoshop and soon one for paint which is still in work. To tour what mods you can do with the truck we will start with the frame. The tube frame has five different designs to choose from. Each design you can color. So if you run a Grave Digger you can have a green frame. The Engine can be placed in the front like the picture shows, behind the driver, and further back to. The fuel cell will move with the placement of the engine. Other parts of the truck that can be mod is the seat color, shocks, and the area for sponsor which can be color or removed. With the tires a new fully customizable tire is avaliable. From the rim colors, nut, beedlock, and still have the 3D looking tire with the shawdowing and Firestone logo will be avaliable. You can always remove the logo for another tire brand.
Finally not picture will be a driver sitting where you may color his helmet and fire suit so in the racing we will have drivers in the trucks.

With these all possible a owner can create the truck, save it as a .PSD format and PTC will using trucks in race pictures. Of course PTC welcome all customizable truck designs so anybody that want to make there own design and submit is more then welcome to. a .psd format will be generally favored but .bmp or .jpeg will do. This is simply to add a new element to the current truck design.
For those without photoshop PTC is working on a windows paint version to. This will be release later. Any questions can be email to protruckchallenge@hotmail.com and thank you for visiting.

NEWS UPDATE October 27, 2007

History was made tonight, 32 trucks, sold out stadium, and a rookie walks home with the win. Welcome to the post race coverage. Start off with the big upset and we had several during the night race, but nothing bigger then the final round Disturbing the Peace losing to Insanity. Insanity last week in the pre-race didn't make it out of round one and some people had made special notice of him especually with his paint job and almost a reminder of racing great Pure Insanity. But tonight he shocks the MT racing world by pulling this off. He will race Friday night along with 12 other rookies that night. Other big upsets Cold Fusion, Bloodlust, and High Tech Redneck all lose in the first round, to rookies. Can this group of rookies be really that prepared to race some of the bigger guns?

However some trucks took advantage of tonight, Flyin Iowan top eight, Son of Sam great run, and Dirt just missed the top ten. But some trucks that were great last year are looking good already Blood Red Sandman replaced Baptism By Fire, Colby's Orange Dodge now #5 not 11 is in the top 8 and DTP, looking dangerous already and Tax Man last race for him and he makes it to the final four great run as Super Trooper comes next weekend. Three rookies in the top 10 and Insanity is as expected the leader of the rookies and is the front runner for the rookie award and so far the Chandler Cup!

Next week, its Myrtle Beach, two days of racing, 16 trucks each and looking at the field Saturday we might see another surprise winner with 13 rookies Friday. But they have 3 veteran driver Son of Sam looking to improve still, Colby 5 wanting to get a win, and Cold Fusion the defending champ all have rookies to run against. Saturday lot of vets and rookies running with nine vets in total.

Some trucks to look out for; DTP, of to a great start after ending the season strong and he might now be the truck everybody has to look after and not Cold Fusion but don't count out Cold Fusion at all he wants to show what happen this week is nothing more then just an upset. Blood Red Sandman, last season that team with the truck Baptism By Fire nearly won many events and was in the top four a lot. This season he looks hard to beat in the big red chevy. Flyin Iowan looks good but what about Emaxx? Third place, what will happen next weekend?

NEWS UPDATE October 22, 2007

Two days has passed since the PTC Pre Season race which was a big event with 28 trucks and non stop action. The biggest talk is the tie between Colby #5 Dodge and the rookie. PTC looked at every way to see if there was a winner but at that one heat, they just were at a tie, however the tie was broken during the losing braket race. But several big questions came out from the pre-season race like which trucks were there actually showing there muscle and which ones were laying back waiting to show everything at the PTC Open? Well there was a post race ranking after and we asked several drivers to do a similar list and this is what one of the drivers ranked the field after ther race.
1.bloodlust. i feel this truck has only gotten better with the prestige on it, its not going anywhere anytime soon.
2. pman. with a win over its parter, the big bad bloodlust, this truck has made me turn my head.
3. hi tech redneck. he had a slow start last year but has been constantly improving, i think this truck will be hard to beat.
4. liberty 1, a big time roookie made the ptc vets turn there heads by eliminating some vets.
5. emaxx. another rookie, he held tight, and was eliminated by a top truck. has a great chance.
6. red foot. he really stood out to me, eliminating dtp, that really shocked me.
7. ace of spades only lost to bloodlust by a small margin. he's gonna be tough to beat for the rookies.
8. son of sam shocked me, they werent that noticable the first season, but now they are doing pretty well. look out for this team.
9. monstermayhem, i think this truck would have had a fair chance if it wasnt that it had to race pman.
10. chosen one got a win over emaxx, and that truck is tough. look out for this one.

Of course all the speculations and guessing on who may perform is up in the air cause 32 trucks will race, the largest field in PTC history. So Saturday come to your PC or MACs and see the results from the Season II PTC Open and the kickoff of the new season.

NEWS UPDATE October 5, 2007

PTC Champion Season II is coming up and already the trucks that will race PTC are racing across the nation in various event for other promoters. With trucks racing with other promoters during the break between PTC seasons, PTC is proud to announce that the week before the PTC Open there is an Pre-Season race where PTC members can enter and will race in a non-points race to see how they stack up before the season look. Also PTC will make this announcement regarding the PTC pre-season race witch is named "PTC PREVIEW EVENT."

A benefit for running this race members can get an idea of how the trucks look before the first race, however for this race only, you may change your point balance and submit a "fool balance" for the race. By submitting a "fool balance" for the event you can either run a new set up to see if it works better, or a set up to look poor and have other trucks look over you as a threat. The fools balance will be for only this race, for the season it will be the point balance once submitted.

Also a reminder to email your Season II points balance including returning members with the new prestige points.

Finally our new store is up. Currently avaliable is t-shirts with the PTC logo, however note that CafePress is responsible for all matters regarding items bought and any return policy or refurnds are to be delt with CafePress. We will inform that all products on the site are what as they appear, the PTC logo is very small as seen in this picture. So if interested shop, and PTC will work on getting more products in the future.

NEWS UPDATE August 17, 2007

We are more then a month away from the start of the second season and already the hype for season two is coming full swing. With great looking trucks coming and a full field of contenders, it is fair to say that this championship season will be close. Also new is the bio page that currently Bloodlust and Pman7 have. We are working on where the bio page is where members can show off there creative side with bios, pictures of trucks, even haulers. To have you bio page up make up one and email to PTC. Also we will have more awards that will be handed out. We are so far going to include best hauler, rookie of the year, and an award for the truck that can tie or beat the most wins in a season record. Currently Disturbing the Peace and Skatewagon are tied for the most win with three and Flyin Iowan with two. However, Skatewagon will not be returning back which is sad because that was one tuff truck to beat. No word has come from DTP on his return. Flyin Iowan with two wins could tie for most wins all time with a win at one event. The PTC is young and records are tight right now. We here at PTC would like to thank every member currently and past for making PTC what it is. PTC is proud and the members, the excitement, and the fun generated by monster truck racing. We thank you for making PTC what it is today and with that we reveal our new slogan for the PTC. Pro Truck Challenge, Loud and Proud.

NEWS UPDATE July 25, 2007

Two races remain in the Pro Truck Challenge and the points battle in heating up. Bloodlust took the lead and has a nine points between him and Colby and Cold Fusion and ten back is Skatewagon. But now Disturbing the Peace and Baptism by Fire are within striking range of the cup. Flyin iowan 40 points back has to win race nine, hope Bloodlust and the top five no advance, and he will have a chance at the Cup. Bloodlust with a win can eliminated Flyin Iowan and possibly Baptism by Fire if he fails to advance in the first round. If Bloodlust is to win and all the contenders fail to make out of round one and the remain three trucks that top the points have poor qualifying efforts, Bloodlust could goto the Championship showdown with a near lock. But its all numbers now as we wait for this Friday race at Roanoke, Virginia.

NEWS UPDATE July 13, 2007

With only three races left in the Pro Truck Challenge first season; here are some news to take note of. The point championship is really closing up as the first four trucks in points are seperated by only five points. Skatewagon leads by two over Cold Fusion and Bloodlust is only four behind and last week winner Colby is five behind. However, don't count out DTP, Disturbing the Peace. He has over taken Baptism by Fire and is 28 points out of the lead. Considering that the winner is given 30 points and last place recieves no points, well in three races we could see any one of these five as the point leader entering the Championship Showdown.

The Championship Showdown from Yankee Stadium will be the final event for season one of the PTC. A champion will leave the stadium and so to will the winner of the Steve Dane Awesome Truck Award. Voting will begin after race eight next weekend. Voting is really simple after race eight is completed a group email will be sent to all members of the PTC to vote for the truck they believe should win. The award is to award the truck that make more people turn there head to take a second look at and who better to name the award for then Steve Dane whom created Awesome Kong II one of the best looking and tricked out trucks of its time.

Next season will be some new rules. Some of the new rules to take effect next season. All returning members will have a new category in the truck point balance system. Prestige, a truck prestige comes after completing a season in the PTC. Returning trucks will still only have 50 points to balance between the current plus prestige. Rookies that enter after race #8 will not have to include prestige, however prestige if used right can be a great tool to winning the jump at the line, make an opponent nervous, and even make an opponent make a mistake. This is to create what is seen when a local truck or rising star will face against a truck such as Bigfoot or Grave Digger. Rookies after finishing a season in PTC will then have to do the prestige in the point balance. Can a rookie win against a veteran truck yes. But it will be very close.

Another new rule will be that all updated points balances are due by Midnight Friday morning and we will still only allow one truck per person.

As we come upon our last three races consider this. As of now, the top eight in point could walk away from the Championship Showdown with the points lead and championship. But that number will be greatly reduce at Georgia next week, and more so at Virginia, so remember if you have yet to update or change you point balance you may want to consider.
