Tonight the PTC tour visits

Good evening and welcome to the Metro Dome. Tonight the champion trail is almost done. Colby #4 has held the lead for a long time, but tonight Chicago Arena will host a small track and anything can happen. Last year Alabama was a shake up will tonight and tommorrow be a shake up?

Welcome everyone tonight marks the 9th event of the PTC Challenge and tonight will set up half of the point senerio leading to next week Championship Showdown! Tonight Ace of Spade, Emaxx, and Colby 19 can take the point lead. But Colby could extend his lead making it harder for tommorrows racers. Lets goto the racing action!.

ROUND 1.

Liberty 1 defeats Liberty Girl.

Colby #4 defeats TNT.

Super Trooper defeats Totaler.

Stomper defeats Hang Time.

Cold Fusion defeats Colby 19.

Red Foot defeats Emmaxx.

DTP defeats Ace of Spade.

Son of Sam defeats Escalade.

Colby first threat Ace of Spade went out and so did Emaxx, He faces the pole sitter Liberty 1 however, so he will gain on Ace and Emaxx but if he goes out leaves a big door of chance open for Pman-7.

Liberty 1 defeats Colby #4.

Stomper defeats Super Trooper.

Cold Fusion defeats Red Foot 3.

Son of Sam defeats DTP.

Colby is out, but the remaining four all are not in range of taking the point lead, but the top 10 are at stakes.

Stomper defeats Liberty 1.

Son of Sam defeats Cold Fusion.

Final Round.

These two trucks are in the finals. For the first time this season Son of Sam driven by Juan who switched from Lonestar to the Ellis Racing Ride takes on Stomper. Green! Both trucks are off and Son of Sam wins the race! Son of Sam as soon as the green is on the front wheels just leaps over the hills and then he gets good traction with no bouncing all night long and takes the win tonight. Tommorrow another big night as racing.

Saturday Race Tommorrow.

Last night, round two, seventh place Colby #4 finished and moved up from 172 points to 195 points. Tonight Pman-7 is now only 23 points behind and can take the lead from Colby. The rest of the field can make up ground on the points leader but if the point lead is to change Pman-7 has to finish 7th or better. Fans in Chicago are pumped up they know what Pman-7 may do, they know this is the last event where the max is 30 because next week Championship Showdown II will be 32 points for the winner plus one point less for every position behind the winner. The PTC Race #9 is NEXT!

Rock and Roll Angel the surprise winner of time trials takes on Scream who hopes to change his luck from recent weeks. This track is similar to what TNT ran many times a hill and set of cars with the finish line. It is a short track so the jump is important once the green comes out and its out! Over the hill Angel has a lead and coming over the cars he extends it and Rock and Roll Angel advances on.

Nitemare defeats Bigfoot .

Flyin Iowan defeats Monster Mayhem.

Dirt defeats Destrucity.

Bloodlust defeat Sarge.

Dragin Bacteria defeats Insanity.

This match up is the most important one of the night so far. Pman-7 takes on Chosen One the rookie. Pman back up to the starting line, Chosen One already at the line waiting. Now both trucks are lined up the engines rev up Green! Chosen One small lead to the car...Pman-7 gets lots of air Chosen One stays low and takes a win and this just gives Colby a big break meaning he will enter the Championship Showdown with the points lead.

Blood Red Sandman defeats High Tech Redneck.

What a first round of racing some surprises but nothing bigger then Pman-7 done for the night and he will be in 12th place meaning he goes from 172 to 176. Meaning he is 19 points behind the leader for next week and next week event is a double elimination race. It will be a unique format where the bottom half of points will have to race more heats then the top eight so everyone is trying to get into the top eight and that is what everybody is focus on now.

Rock and Roll Angel defeats Nitemare.

Flyin Iowan defeats Dirt.

Bloodlust, looking to close the gap, he is doing so but he can close the gap more if he beats Dragin Bacteria who is looking at moving up from 17th in the points and has a chance of moving as high as possibly the top 10. Green! Bloodlust leads over the hill the jump now Bloodlust lots of air Dragin stays on the cars and boogy to the finish and just nips Bloodlust at the line. Dragin Bacteria with the win.

Blood Red Sandman defeats Chosen One.

Bloodlust after the round finishes at eight and has gain from 150 to 172 points, meaning he is 23 points behind Colby #4.

Rock and Roll Angel, the pole truck takes on Flyin Iowan the 12th place finisher from time trials. Green! Rock and Roll good jump but Iowan has been low all night and Iowan stays low Rock and Roll some air and Iowan takes the surprise win and is now moving into the finals for the second week in a row!

Blood Red Sandman defeats Dragin Bacteria.

Well now the last two, Blood Red, looking to change his luck and a win will be the high point of the season, finish time trials in 2nd, next to him Flyin Iowan 12th from time trials, looking to be another person to win two weeks in a row. This race should be good the fans are on there feet green! Both trucks look even over the hill now the cars, both trucks stay low and we are going to have to wait for the results! The two trucks are so close to the finish the officials will be looking at the tape. Neither driver have a clear idea who won, both trucks backing up to the set of cars where they will park for autograph and social after tonights event. We are just getting word the Blood Red Sandman has won his first career PTC event! Blood Red has won tonight and now he has just been inform and pumps his fist in the air and the crowd salutes the winner.

Next week the biggest event of the year, Championship Showdown II will be on with three pages of full coverage! The points Colby still has the lead but its a little smaller as Colby #4 leads over Pman-7, Ace of Spade, and Bloodlust. The top seven in points have a chance at the cup. Here are the points with the division lines seperating the top eight, the middle eight, and the remaning 16 who will race the first round next week.
