team pman was founded by shawn "the pman" hunsicker at the dawn of monster trucks. shawn and bob chandler were competitive friends who were always making their trucks bigger. everyone knows the story of bigfoot, this is the story of the pman. shawn didnt have a truck, instead, had a 1974 ford van with 4 wheel drive and all the off road goodies. it was at gravel rama each year that bigfoot and pman would meet, each year getting bigger and bigger. this was when bigfoot was midwest center, and pman was just a black truck with the pman logo spray painted on the side in yellow. eventually, these friends made monsters, and landed sponserships. shawn went the different route than normal and decided to get the united states goverment to back his truck. it was of course repainted in a beautiful american flag wrap all over the truck, with the pman logo on the truck. it was a show truck first and foremost, with more things than most cars on pimp my ride could dream of. times were hard but shawn persevered, and when monsters turned to racing, shawn disapeared from the circuit for a little while. people would later find out that shawn did not quit, but was indeed building a new pman to meet the growing demands of the sport pman 2 debuted in 1984, a ford windstar on what is still regarded as the best leafer truck ever built. there was no show truck in this one, just an updated body with the american flag paint, and alot of power. pman 2 was front engined, which was begining to become rare in those days. pman 2 was so good in fact, that shawn decided to expand pman motorsports into a two truck team, with his other truck named the totaler. it was an 87 ford f150 on the same chassis as the pman 2. with both trucks running, shawn had wild success. it was because of this success that shawn and bob decided to look to the future of the sport. they put everything they had into a new style truck, a tube frame truck. shawn would build a square tube monster, and it debuted in 1987. however, just like bigfoot 8, it was banned from the ciruit for one year. with all the money tied up in this truck, shawn lost money fast. so he turned to the goverment (his sponsor) for help. they agreed that the only way they would help would be by a large stunt. an un heard of loop the loop in a monster truck. shawn reluctantly agreed, even though he knew it would most likely kill him. shawn set up for the track, nailed the throttle in front of all his fans, and went for it. he got half way up to the very top before the engine stalled, and the truck plummeted towards the earth, shawn trapped inside. somehow, shawn managed to survive, although he was extremly battered, bruised, and had many broken bones, the doctors said he would make a full recovery. when he finally recovered a year later, he asked his sponsor, the goverment, for money to help rebuild the pman 3. they told him that they were no longer affiliated with him, and had no record of ever being affiliated. the goverment shawn loved so much had turned thier back on him. with no where to go, no truck to compete in, and no place to call home, he called bob chandler. bob agreed to let him crew for him while he saved up money, and shawn drove trucks every now and then for him. in the winter of 1998, the world got word of the return of the pman in atlanta georgia at a monster jam event. loyal fans and patriots went to see the show, eager to see their patriotic hero return. the lights dimmed, and cradle of filth's hallowed be thy name began to play. when the intro broke, shawn burst onto the scene with two trucks, darkdesires 1, riding on the pman 3 frame, and the pman 4, a wilman chassis H2 hummer. when pman 4 entered, there was a mixed reaction. because this was not the pman they had known. painted all over the truck was anarchy signs, anti goverment sayings, pentagrams, and darker colors than before. when shawn stepped out, his words were as followed: " hello america. do not let it be said that i hate america, for i love my country. however, i will fight to the death this facist, sexist, racist, and all together assanine goverment that pretends to help us. this is the new pman. get used to it, cuz i'm back." the crowd went wild team pman took the tour by storm, winning most of the events. as the years went by the competition began to cath up to them, and they were forced to upgrade. in january 2005 in bloomsburg pennsylvania, shawn debuted his newest creation, the pman 5. this time it was a completly custom chassis, with a chevy ssr body. still ford powered as always. darkdesires 2 debuted here as well, riding on the pman 4 chassis. and shawn expanded once again, with the totaler name returning on the pman 3 frame. they raced for years, competing heavily all around the globe. in march of 2006 pman 6 was created, as a street truck. it was a chevy ssr, with a blown ford 460. in 2007, the ptc debuted, and it picked at shawns curiosity. so he used the old totaler leafer chassis, and redid it, rebodied it and renamed it bloodlust. with shawn driving, it took 2nd place in the ptc. with the money he got from that, bloodlust 1 was retired to display duty, while pman 7 debuted, custom chassis with a 79 ford body, darkdesires would stay the same but get upgraded, and bloodlust 2 would debut on the pman 5's chassis. with two trucks entered, shawn needed to choose which he would drive in the ptc. he shocked the world once again by choosing bloodlust over pman, and gave his girlfriend tyler anastasio driving duty of pman 7. shawn has one thing to say to everyone. " bloodlust and pman are here to stay. me and tyler, we dont mess around. as the bloodlust 2 trucks theme song says, " if you wanna step up, then step up, your gonna get knocked down." (step up by drowning pool) ptc season 2 is on. lets get ready to race.
